SHIPPING COURIERS

• Our shipping couriers include DHL, SKYNET, SMAI EXPRESS service and our in-house couriers
• We use DHL, SKYNET and SMAI EXPRESS for shipping products outside of Dar es Salaam and Tanzania. For local Dar es Salaam orders we either use SMAI EXPRESS or our own In-House courier service

FREE SHIPPING

• We provide FREE SHIPPING for orders over Tshs 100,000/- for buyers in Dar es Salaam ONLY
• For Free shipping in Dar es Salaam, we shall use any of the above mentioned courier services deemed fit by us in accordance to weight and size of the product/s

SHIPPING TIME

• Depending on the availability of the product/s as mentioned in the product description/s, we ship products immediately once the order has been processed
• For Dar es Salaam orders, we usually deliver same day except for PRE-ORDER products which take 21-45 days to reach the buyer
• For orders from other cities/towns in Tanzania, shipping time varies from 2-4 days depending on the location of the buyer. For PRE-ORDER products it takes 21-45 days to reach the buyer
• For order from out of Tanzania, we use DHL or SKYNET which takes 2-4 days to reach your location
• Our delivery times start from 9.00 am and cut-off at 5.00 pm from Monday to Friday. On Saturday our delivery times start from 9.00 am and cut-off at 1.00 pm. On Sundays and public holidays we DO NOT deliver. Any orders placed on Sunday or public holidays shall be shipped the following working day

DHL - Standard Conditions of Carriage

Definitions

“DHL” Shall mean DHL Worldwide and/or any members of DHL Worldwide Network, providing courier services under the license to provide courier services in connection with pickup, transport and delivery of the consignment to any part of the world

“Network members” shall mean associates, subsidiaries, agent, franchisees , and all staff servants of Skynet

“the consignor” or “the shipper” shall mean the sender of the consignment for transportation (whether on his own account or on behalf of any other persons) and whose name shall appear on the consignment Notes as the consignee

“the consignee” shall mean goods (whether one or more documents, parcel or packages) forwarded by the consignor to Skynet for transportation.

Consignment Note

The consignment shall be correctly addressed by the consignor and accompanied by a DHL consignment note which the consignor shall complete and signed prior to dispatch of the consignment. The consignor shall be responsible for the accuracy of the information given or declared and shall be liable for any false information or inaccurate declaration.

Common Carrier

DHL is not common carrier, DHL accepts good for transport or delivery only on conditions herein contained. All conditions, warranties, descriptions, representations and agreements implied by law, custom, trade or otherwise not expressly stipulated herein are hereby excluded and shall in any way be construed as being implied into or varied the conditions herein contained

Variations

No waiver or alteration or additional to the condition herein contained may be made. Knowledge or acquiescence by DHL or any breach of any conditions hereof shall not operate as or be deemed to be waiver of any covenants hereof and notwithstanding such know ledge or acquiescence Skynet shall be entitled to exercise its rights hereunder and require the strict performance by the consignor of the conditions hereof.

Charges

Transportation charges are calculated during your check-out automatically according to the weight or volume of your purchase. For buyers outside of United Republic of Tanzania, custom duties, fines, penalties and other charges incurred or imposed by any relevant authority or body(s) in connection with the consignment at the particular country, shall be paid by the buyer.

Method of transportation

Subject to payment of DHL's charges in accordance with the rates in effect on the day of acceptance of the consignment, DHL shall transport the consignment to the destination as agreed as expeditiously as possible. DHL reserves the right to carry the consignment by any carries, route(s) and procedure(s). 

Delivery

DHL shall only deliver the consignment to the address stated on the consignment Note. DHL shall be deemed to have delivery the consignment in accordance with the contract if at that address it has obtained from any person a receipt or signed delivery form. Where for any reason(s) the consignment cannot be delivery at the address stated on the consignment note or where the consignment is for self collection by the consignee at DHL station within fourteen (14) days, DHL shall not be liable or responsible for any loss or damage to the consignor and shall after 14 days which a notice has been served on the consignor or the consignee by post or otherwise (including public notice where the address and contact no of the consignor and consignee are not known or cannot be contacted) be entitled to dispose off the consignment and may deduct out off the proceeds of sale of all charges in respect of servicing of notice, transportation and storage of the consignment and any other expenses incurred by DHL.

 

SKYNET - Standard Conditions of Carriage

Definitions

“Skynet” Shall mean Skynet Worldwide and/or any members of Skynet Worldwide Network, providing courier services under the license to provide courier services in connection with pickup, transport and delivery of the consignment to any part of the world

SMAI EXPRESS - Standard Conditions of Carriage

Definitions

“Smai express” to provide courier services in connection with pickup, transport and delivery of the consignment to any part of Dar es Salaam only.

“the consignor” or “the shipper” shall mean the sender of the consignment for transportation (whether on his own account or on behalf of any other persons) and whose name shall appear on the consignment Notes as the consignee

“the consignee” shall mean goods (whether one or more documents, parcel or packages) forwarded by the consignor to Skynet for transportation.

Smai Express is not common carrier, Smai Express accepts goods for transport or delivery only on conditions herein contained. All conditions, warranties, descriptions, representations and agreements implied by law, custom, trade or otherwise not expressly stipulated herein are hereby excluded and shall in any way be construed as being implied into or varied the conditions herein contained

Method of transportation

Smai Express uses bike mode as well as other modes of transport for delivery, but reserves the right to carry the consignment by any carries, route(s) and procedure(s). 

Delivery

Smai Express shall only deliver the consignment to the address stated on the invoice. Once the parcel is picked up by the courier, the rider of Smai Express shall call the buyer for exact location and deliver the parcel. If in any case the buyer is unable to pick-up the phone, Smai Express shall be forced to return the parcel back to the consigner and the buyer shall be charged again for second time delivery. In case of up-country Tanzania deliveries, Smai Express shall contact the buyer once the parcel has reached its destination pick-up point, so the buyer can go and collect it.
